Light It Blue: Michigan
Time: 8:30 PM
Location: St. Ignace Golf & Country Club
Celebrate Global Autism Awareness Day with the kickoff of Light It Blue: Michigan, an initiative aiming to help raise funds to purchase iPads equipped with educational software for autistic children.
The Mackinac Bridge will be lit blue for the entire month of April.
Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley will be the featured speaker at the lighting ceremony. Calley has a 4 year old autistic daughter and is "an outspoken advocate of expanding Michigan's health care coverage for children affected by the disability".
The Country Club driveway is accessed on US-2 between the Truck Stop Restaurant and the Big Boy Restaurant.
