THE GREAT WATERS IS NOT ONLY A SUMMER PLAYGROUND, IT IS A VERITABLE WINTER WONDERLAND.
One of the most exciting ways to experience this snowy paradise is by cross-country skiing. Glide through the incredible woodlands and lakeshores on a pair of skis. You can easily spend days in our natural paradise as you gaze at the frozen splendor of Michigan’s eastern Upper Peninsula.
Discover a winter land reminiscent of a Currier and Ives print. You forgot, or never knew, that places like this still existed. Ski through many of the same trails you hiked in summer. As the snow falls through perfect, uncut evergreen trees, you’ll wonder what ever made us build those skyscrapers and parking decks.
Experience a true “Up-North” winter, if only for a while. Stand in awe of our frozen waters, travel soundlessly amongst our abundant wildlife, and feel one with nature. Take time to breathe, unwind, and simply enjoy the peace in which you find yourself surrounded.
